Since the release of DDR X, Konami has adjusted the difficulty scale to accommodate those new boss songs that may be more difficult than the average 10 footer, going from the original 1-10 foot scale to the current level 1-20 scale. While each song now has a level rating that is more appropriate for its difficulty, within that difficulty level is a whole other scale.

You may encounter two different songs within the same difficulty level where one seems more difficult than the other. But how can that be? They’re the same level! While that may be so, each difficulty has a curve that leads into the next level. For example, many players may agree that Romancing Layer, a level 15 song, is far easier to time than other level 15 songs like MAX 300 and roppongi EVOLVED ver.D. For this reason, we have created a difficulty tier list for DDR to help guide players towards what songs they can aim for to get that AAA or Perfect Full Combo.

These lists have been drafted and reviewed by highly skilled and experienced players so you can trust that these ratings are assigned with care. The lists are ever changing over time to reflect player feedback, so we invite and encourage all players to discuss these ratings.

Each list per difficulty level includes songs that are currently in DDR A.
