SUMMARY:Snow Prism 2019
DESCRIPTION:SOLSTICE ARENA WELCOMES YOU TO\nSNOW PRISM 2019\nA Remote Semi-Seasonal Event for Singles AND Doubles Players!\n \nAfter the success of our first event\, Special Summer Campaign\, there was so much anticipation to bring some type of sequel that waiting until next summer would just be far too long of a wait.\n \nNOTE: TOP 4 PLAYERS FROM LOWER AND MIDDLE DIVISIONS IN SPECIAL SUMMER CAMPAIGN WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE MOVED TO THE NEXT DIVISION UP.\n \nWHAT EVEN IS ALL THIS??\nSnow Prism is the winter edition (and the 2nd installment) of the Solstice Arena series of remote tournaments for Dance Dance Revolution. Players will be allowed to submit scores on any machine running DDR A or A20. Stepmania themes of A / A20 will not be permitted. During the summer\, we kept this limited to singles divisions\, but this time\, we will be adding a Doubles division\, as well as a female division!\nSnow Prism will consist of a qualifying period for singles division\, followed by 5 rounds lasting two weeks each. Qualifying will be announced and begin on Friday\, November 15th\, 2019\, and run until Sunday\, December 29th\, 2019.\nDuring the qualifying period\, players will confirm their status as an entrant by submitting scores for two songs\, not required to be played in the same set. Similar to KAC qualifiers\, the songs can be played on any difficulty. The EX scores of the two songs will be combined and players will be ranked by cumulative EX. Division placement will be dependent on the player’s rank\, proportionate to the scale below:\n——————————————————-\n-Single Low Division = bottom 24% of players (Difficult range: 10-14)\n-Single Mid Division = middle 32% of players (Difficulty range: 13-17)\n-Single High Division = top 44% of players (Difficulty range: 14-18)\nFor example\, in a case of 200 entrants\, ranks 1-88 will go to the high division; ranks 89-152 will go to the mid division; ranks 153-200 will go to the low division.\nDoubles and Female divisions will not have split divisions for this event. We are currently gauging interest in adding these to the event and will use split divisions in future events if the numbers justify a split division.\nDoubles difficulty range: 13-17\nFemales difficulty range: 12-16\n \nTOURNAMENT STRUCTURE: (Round 1 begins Saturday January 11\, 2020)\nEach round (up to and including Round 4) will consist of two randomly selected songs from the online card draw site https://ddrdraw.surge.sh/ and will not be required to be played in the same set. “Asia-exclusive” content will only be permitted if all locations have access to A20 by the time the qualifying period ends.\nEX score will be combined to rank players\, and at the end of each round (two-week rounds)\, everyone below a specified cutoff will be eliminated. The cutoff amounts are to be determined\, but the larger a division is\, the larger the cutoff. Cutoffs will continue until there are 4 remaining players in each division. The difficulty will increase by 1 with each round that passes. Songs will NOT be allowed to be repeated up to and including Round 4\, regardless of the division.\nIn the final round\, the 4 remaining players will each hand-pick a song that has NOT been used in the tournament yet for their specified difficulty. A song that has previously come up in the tournament may ONLY be selected if the difficulty is different than what came up before. The TO will keep a list of all songs and difficulties that have been used in play up to that point.\nThe 4th place player will be given the opportunity to select a song of a difficulty 1 greater than their opponents if they wish to do so. For example\, 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd ranks can choose a Level 18 chart in the final round but the 4th seed finalist may choose a Level 19 chart if they wish.\n \nANY BAD SPORTSMANSHIP OR DISCRIMINATION IS NOT TOLERATED\, AND WILL EITHER COME WITH A WARNING (1st OFFENSE) + BAN (2nd OFFENSE) OR AN IMMEDIATE BAN DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY DEEMED BY THE TO AND DISCORD MODS.\n \nWHEN DO ROUNDS BEGIN AND END?\nEach round will begin and end on a Saturday at midnight (all times will be in Western U.S. time)\, and will have a 24 hour overlap period. For example: Round 2 will be starting on January 25th\, 2020\, at midnight\, but Round 1 will not end until January 26th at midnight. The full projected timeline is below. Simply put\, all rounds will last a full 15 days\, starting on Saturdays and ending on Sundays.\n \nROUND 1: January 11 @ midnight – January 26 @ midnight\nROUND 2: January 25 @ midnight – February 9 @ midnight\nROUND 3: February 8 @ midnight – February 23 @ midnight\nROUND 4: February 22 @ midnight – March 8 @ midnight\nFINAL: March 7 @ midnight – March 22 @ midnight\n—————————————————–\nWHO CAN ENTER WHAT DIVISION?\n \nAny player is eligible to enter a Singles or Doubles division\, or both! Only females or female-identifying players can enter the female division.\n \nPRIZES? MERCH?\nJust like our first event (Special Summer Campaign)\, the top 3 players in each division will get a medal commemorating them\, and 1st place in each division gets a custom Snow Prism champion-edition shirt! Thank you to Anastasiya / “Pluto” (@pluto_chan on Twitter) for designing the official Snow Prism artwork! If you haven’t seen it yet\, you will\, but in the meantime go support her with a follow on Twitter!\nMerch can be found by visiting @thesolsticearena on Instagram and sending a request for a product through a direct message there\, or to me personally. More merch will likely be coming in the future but for now\, enjoy some sick apparel from our event that started it all.\n \n——————————-\nIf you have any other questions\, please contact!\nOrganizer: Cam King\n[ Twitter: @Kitsunek0_ ] [ Discord: Kitsuneko#0144 ]\n \nFollow us on Twitter: @SolsticeArena_\n \nJoin us on the Solstice Arena Discord: https://discord.gg/x5HKvbV\n \nThank you all for playing\, and good luck!\n

SUMMARY:Rhythm Fest 2020
DESCRIPTION:What is Rhythm Fest?  Rhythm Fest is the 10th edition of the DDR-Exp events\, which have been going on since 2017. This event will have all rhythm games that we can get our hands on to give visitors the best possible rhythm/music game experience. A lot of games will also have their own competition for players to show their skills. It will be held from Friday February 21st to Sunday February 23rd.   We want to give everyone the chance to play their favourite games as much as they want\, or give the opportunity to try out the newest games which they maybe haven’t had access to yet.   The event will be held at the National Videogame Museum in Zoetermeer (more info https://www.facebook.com/NationaalGameMuseum/) which has more than enough room for all our shenanigans. So if you have ever played games like Guitar Hero or more\, be sure to check this event out! And maybe even sign up for a competition or two.   While the museum has too many games to list\, here are some of the highlights: beatmania IIDX Project DIVA AC Nostalgia Dance Dance Revolution In The Groove Pump It Up SOUND VOLTEX Beat Saber Taiko no Tatsujin jubeat pop‘n music CROSS×BEATS Clone Hero
