DESCRIPTION:After a very successful trial event with Silver City Summit last February\, System Arcadia is coming back to Round 1 SCG in Taunton\, Massachusetts this October for Feel The Beat!Feel The Beat is System Arcadia’s flagship tournament series similar to how 灼熱Summer Night is our flagship music show series. The aim is to run this event every Halloween weekend for years to come to offset The Big Deal which happens 5 months later. System Arcadia aims to be the biggest and best East Coast rhythm game event for the passionate company we support. In addition to us hopefully having at least six ITG setups\, we’re working in partnership with Tokyo Attack who will be bringing the following games for spectators to enjoy casually and potentially compete on in side tournaments:\nDANCERUSH STARDOM\nCHUNITHM\nmaimai\nSOUND VOLTEX (2 Cabinets)\npop’n music\njubeat (2 Cabinets)\nDanceDanceRevolution\nPump it Up XX\nBig thanks to Anthony Capobianco for helping to make that possible.\nThere’s also some other fun stuff planned that I can’t announce yet\, but hopefully in the near future I’ll have more to say on that.\nStamina RPG 3\, which functions both as its own tournament and as a qualifier for ECS8\, will start on May 20th\, immediately following the end of ECS7.5 (check that out if you haven’t already! Here’s a link: http://groovestats.com/ECS75/ ). The players who qualify in the top 24 by August 1st will have dedicated slots in ECS8– however\, this year\, there will also be a lower division where ideally we can get at least another 24 people slots to compete. More details on that as the event gets closer (and as I’m more able to gauge interest).\nRegistration for the event won’t go up until we’re a little closer\, but badges will most likely be $30. The dates are 100% confirmed\, however.\nThanks to everyone who has supported ECS over the years. I hope to see all of you in September\, whether you’re competing or not!

We are bringing back our multi-music game tournament series to find out who is the best music gamer in Maryland!Game tournaments currently planned:\n• beatmania IIDX\n• DanceDanceRevolution\n• jubeat\n• pop’n music\nEntry fee: $8 for one tournament\, $5 for each additional tournament. All machines will be set to free play for the duration of the tournament\, beginning with the announcement of qualifiers.\nFirst\, second\, and third place winners of each tournament will receive 60%\, 40%\, and 20% of that tournament’s entry fees\, respectively.\nBest effort has been made to ensure all games are free of sensor malfunctions. Any report of sensor malfunction during tournament play will be handled at the sole discretion of the tournament organizer. We encourage everyone to arrive early to practice!\nOnce tournaments have begun\, all participants are expected to remain available to play their respective matches. If an entrant is called by a tournament organizer and cannot be located\, the tournament organizer reserves the right to forfeit the match due to absence. We understand that with multiple tournaments players will sometimes be indisposed and a best effort will be made to accommodate entrants who are present but unable to respond to a summons. DESCRIPTION:ARCADE ODYSSEYDDR SPRING JAMM+ 2019\nSINGLES TOURNAMENT\nTournament Organizer:\n• Josef Ricardo | kinshippjamm@hotmail.com\nEntry Fees:\n• Venue Fee: $5.00 (For all registrants)\n• Tournament Fee: $5.00 (For Top 32 participants)\nEvent Details:\n*Event Date: Thursday\, May 9\n*Registration: 7 PM – 7:45 PM\n*Tournament Start: 8 PM\n*Tournament Estimated End: 11:30 PM\nVenue Details:\nArcade Odyssey\n12045 SW 117th Ave\, Miami\, FL 33186\n(305) 253-2722\nGame\nDANCE DANCE REVOLUTION EXTREME PRO\n*Bracket Format:\n• See the sample brackets for a Top 8\, Top 16\, or Top 32 tournament.\nQualifier Set:\n• Spin the Disc (Heavy)\n• B4U (B4 ZA BEAT MIX) (Heavy)\nQualifiers:\n• One of these two Level-10 songs (Spin the Disc [Heavy] or B4U (B4 ZA BEAT MIX) [Heavy]) will be determined during the registration time block.\n• Seeding is determined by EX Score.\n• Players get at least one warm up song before performing the selected song during the registration time block.\n• The cutoff for qualifiers will be the top 32 participants.\nTournament Format:\n• The machine during the tournament event will be in event mode with EX scoring.\n• Winner of a song is determined by the higher EX Score.\n• During the tournament\, all default and unlockable songs are allowed.\nSong Modifiers:\n• Freeze Arrow will be set to ON.\n• Solo/Flat can only be used if BOTH players agree to it.\n• Step chart difficulty is determined by the card draw.\n*Tiebreaker Round(s):\n• If a match outcome ends in a tie\, a single-card draw will determine the song of the match. Higher seed (or from winner’s side) gets side preference. If the tiebreaker song results in a tie\, then another tiebreaker song will be dealt. This process is repeated until there is no longer a tie.\nTournament Card Draw:\n• Preferences Options (listed in order of operations):\n– 1st Veto\n– 2nd Veto\n– Side Preference\n• Players alternate selecting preference options\, with the player with the higher seed or coming from the winner’s side selecting his or her preference option first.\nSong Selection for a Match:\n• Best-of-three (one):\n– Five (three) cards will be randomly drawn\, and the list of drawn songs will be shown to both players. Each player will veto a song from the list of drawn songs. The remaining song(s) will be played from top to bottom.\nMiscellaneous Rules/Comments:\n• Estimated start times of select rounds will be posted. PLEASE stay updated with the tournament bracket to know when you are needed for your match. For the best-of-one matches\, be on deck if your match is next. There will be a 2-minute wait time for a player to report to the machine. If a player is not present within that time frame\, the match will be played after the remaining matches in the round are completed. Repeat offenses will result in a loss/disqualification from the tournament.\n• If you suspect there might be a malfunctioning arrow\, play through the entire song. Stopping in the middle of a song due to misses is unacceptable and will definitively result in a loss of the song. The tournament organizer will adjust the score and/or test the pad (if justified and necessary). Continual unjustified complaints throughout the set will result in an automatic loss of the match.\n• Please keep in mind the use of excessive heavy stomping. This damages the pads and thus hinders the tournament.
