DESCRIPTION:Nordic Cup 3.5 is an invitational tournament where all the best players from previous events compete!The tournament is held during August 19th to 21st\, in McKylä Superarcade with currently planned disciplines of Precision and Stamina. The venue is considerably smaller than our usual Arabia Youth Center\, so no spectators are allowed to the venue during tournament hours. DESCRIPTION:Panini Fest 2022 Tournament rules and info.Thank you for your interest in the Panini Fest event. The goal of the event is to have an annual gathering for people within the Colorado rhythm game community and to introduce more players from outside the state to the fantastic player base that we have. Tournament participation is not required to attend the event. However\, it is encouraged regardless of skill level! Tournament settings are a great way to play against other players you normally wouldn’t match against\, meet new people\, play new charts\, and just have an all-around good time. In addition to the tournament games\, there will be several other arcade games to play. TVs will be on site for those that wish to bring consoles to play. The event is BYOB. Food is not provided but options are near the venue\, and we are working on getting on site options.\nJuly 16\, 2022.\nAddress: 2200 N Chambers. Unit J. Aurora CO 80013.\nDoors open at 10:00. Brackets start at noon.\nOn site registration is available\, but please pre-register if possible. Cut off is 11:30.\nStructure of the bracket.\nThe tournament will be in a round robin format with the top 8 players doing a double elimination bracket. This will give participants more rounds to play. The round robin portion of the event will be best of 3. The player with the best of 3 will be given 1 point. The top 8 players with the most points will move on to the finals bracket. Depending on attendance of the event\, the round robin bracket may be limited to 2 songs per round with 1 point given per song. Final 4 is best of 5 songs.\nSong pick method\nFor the round robin bracket\, players will have their chance to choose their own song from the entire pack “lowers range”. Each lowers difficulty range can be found in the following game sections. Coin flip will be used for the 2 players in the round. Winner of the flip will decide either first song pick or pad side\, while the other player will get their choice of the other. The losing player of the song gets the next song choice. Ex: P1 gets coin toss picks and wins 1st song. P2 then picks the next song. The purpose of this method is to encourage players to study charts before the event and gives both players the opportunity to play a chart that fits their strengths. The top 8 will follow card draw. Top seed in the bracket will get the first pick of either pad side or song veto/protect. Top 4 bracket has no veto/protect due to 5 song play with 5 card draw.\nITG\nAll songs must be played on M or X Mod. No Cmod. “Boys off” aka fault window disabled. Mines must stay on. Turn mods are allowed. Event scoring will use the Waterfall timing/score system. Player with the highest percentage score wins the song. In the event of a tie\, a random song of the same difficulty will be selected and played to satisfy the tie. The round robin portion of the bracket will use song difficulties ranging from 8-10. The top 8 bracket will play chart difficulties 11-13.\nDDR\nThe version of the game played will be DDR A20. (this is so we can stream the event) EX score will be used for deciding the winner of the song. Holds\, jumps\, freeze arrow must stay on. Turn mods and mirror are allowed. Lowers song selection will be 9-15. Finals will be based on 16 song difficulty. In the event of a tie\, a random song of the same difficulty will be selected and played to satisfy the tie.\nPump it up\nVersion of the game played will be Pump It Up Prime 2. Money score will be the deciding factor for winner of the song. The lower song bracket will consist of song choice 10-16. Upper bracket will be 17-20. In the event of a tie\, a song of the same difficulty will be selected to satisfy the tie.\nSportsmanship\nPlayers are to be respectful to each other and the venue during the event. Event staff has the right to remove players at any time. If a player makes the decision to be disrespectful during the event\, they will be removed from the bracket.\nPace of the event is very important. If a player is not playing in another tournament bracket or using the restroom when their turn is called\, they are to start their round within 3 minutes. EX: if you are playing another arcade cab between rounds and your name is called\, you are to stop what you are doing to play your tournament round. Failure to do this will forfeit your round to the opponent.

SUMMARY:Desert Journey – A Red Note Teaser Tournament
DESCRIPTION:OverviewThis will be a fun and casual tournament hosted at a brand new DDR friendly location in Las Vegas! We have two DDR white cabs running on A20 (exact version will be announced prior to the start). Signups are capped at 32 players to ensure that the event runs within a single day. Venue Red Note is a brand new rhythm gaming focused arcade in Las Vegas\, NV. In fact\, it’s so new that it’s not even open to the public yet! Aside from having a fun tournament\, the goal of this event is the give the dance game community a preview of the new arcade. The tournament will be the main attraction\, but there will be other rhythm games available to play throughout the day. A rideshare service is your best bet to get here. Tournament Rules: 32 Player Swiss Main Bracket We will be using a Swiss style format\, ensuring that players of all skill levels will get to play the same amount of matches compared to a traditional elimination bracket format where generally lower skilled players do not see much play. For every song you win\, you will receive one point. The top (4) players with the highest number of points at the end of the Swiss Bracket will move onto the final round. Tiebreakers may be required to determine the top (4) and will be resolved with additional tiebreaker matches. The amount of rounds played will be based on the amount of entrants and will be determined the day of the event. Each match will consist of two songs with one song being picked by each player. Pad side will be randomly chosen unless both players agree on side selection. Players much choose their songs wisely because they may not pick the same song again for the entire tournament (excluding finals). 4 Player Single Elimination Bracket The finals will be a classic single elimination bracket seeded by the performance in the Swiss Bracket. The semifinal matches will consist of a best of 3 song match with each player picking one song\, and if necessary\, a random song to resolve a tiebreaker. Each player will receive two song vetoes to be used at any time during the match. The final matches that determine prize money will be the same as the semifinal matches\, except it will be best of 5 songs with each player receiving 3 song vetoes. Similar to the Swiss Bracket\, players may not choose the same song twice for the rest of the tournament but they do start with a clean song selection slate in the finals. Other Rules Song difficulty allowed: 11-18 EX Scoring In the event of a tie on a song\, the player that did not choose the song will win the song. In the event of a tie on a random song\, another random song will be played. Pad arbitration will be at the sole discretion of the tournament organizers. Entry Fee $10 Entry Fee. Players are encouraged to provide their vaccination status prior to the event via twitter DM or emailing ohioddr@gmail.com. If they are uncomfortable doing so\, they may do so in person at the event instead. Failure to provide vaccination status will result in DQ with no refund\, and the player will be asked to leave the venue. \nNo\, this is not a HIPAA violation. \nAll participants are strongly encouraged to wear masks at all times\, especially when not in a match or actively eating/drinking. \nIf Round1 chooses to mandate masks during play\, players will be required to wear masks during matches.\nWe are all old enough to know the proper way to wear a mask\, and what kinds of masks are worth wearing. Any attempts to “find a loophole” will result in immediate DQ and removal from the venue. \nAll attendees are strongly encouraged to take a COVID-19 test a few days prior to attending as well as about 1 week after\, regardless of the presence of symptoms. In the unlikely event of cases tied to this event\, those tests could provide valuable contact tracing info.

DESCRIPTION:ECFA 2021 – the biggest online event in the tech open-source dance game community’s history – is here! PLEASE read the following very carefully\, as this post will contain lots of very helpful information. Firstly – a review of what’s changed: A few things have been adjusted since the last announcement as a direct result of beta testing feedback and other factors. Chiefly\, the event scoring system was overhauled for better smoothness and consistency. The planned unlock system has also been shelved in favor of a bi-weekly DLC schedule for all players that will begin 4 weeks from the event’s start. Finally\, we just didn’t have the resources to focus on a team event this year. This doesn’t mean that unlocks or team events won’t happen in future editions of ECFA Online\, but we wanted to narrow the focus of this year’s event given the massive shift in direction in hopes of nailing the experience. Leaderboard and Chart Reference Guide The main spreadsheet tracker for ECFA 2021 will serve three purposes. Firstly\, it will house all the scores submitted throughout the event and organize players onto a singular leaderboard. Secondly\, it will show detailed statistics for each player’s ranking for everyone’s reference. Lastly\, the spreadsheet will include a very handy chart reference guide containing all the charts in the event\, their tech ratings and annotations\, and source pack info. The main tabs in the spreadsheet are: Chart Reference: chart reference guide for the ECFA 2021 base pack\, plus DLC as it gets released. ECFA Participants: a list of all confirmed participants for the event ECFA Score Sheet (raw steps): this is where all your step information from the scores you submit gets loaded ECFA Score Sheet – DP% Calcs: this is where DP% are calculated for each score and compared to minimum requirements for the block difficulty level. ECFA Score Sheet – Raw ECFA Point Calcs: this is where DP% turns into raw ECFA points Raw Score Summary: a summary of all players’ raw scores submitted in the event ECFA Player Score Summary: a summary of all players’ ECFA scores (i.e. after applying appropriate weights for top 50\, top 100\, outside top 100) ECFA Leaderboard: main event leaderboard for the event. Now\, for some VERY IMPORTANT INFO. Players need to sign up using the sign up form in order to participate in the event. If you are in the ECFA Discord and plan to utilize that medium for posting scores\, please make your username for the channel match the alias shown in the leaderboard. This is to reduce the chance of errors or miscommunication. Players may submit scores through the group Discord\, Facebook group\, or by DMing an event staff member. All score posts\, regardless of medium\, will need to be made by uploads of screenshots of results screens. Screenshots must clearly show Waterfall judgement grades and ECFA point totals. We have identified a potential solution that would allow us to use the ECFA Summary Screen built into the theme (more on that below)\, but for now\, this is what we’ll need. Score posts in Discord need to be made in the ecfa-2021-score-dumps channel\, and may be made by simply uploading photos to the channel. A member of the score tracker team will mark the scores as uploaded with a green “checkmark” react once they have been uploaded to the leaderboard. Score posts on Facebook should be made in the ECFA 2021 group. Please put your alias in your post as text. The first time you load into the new version of the theme\, any ECFA 2021 scores you had recorded will be cleared. You shouldn’t have had any anyway\, but this mainly affects beta testers who removed the lock on score tracking. The base pack is separated into ECFA 2021 folders by difficulty; however\, you may sort charts as you wish\, as long as each song folder starts with “ECFA 2021”. This means\, for example\, you can combine all charts into one big pack\, or separate them some other way if you like. If you rearrange your ECFA 2021 folders in some way\, any charts that were removed from your game based on folder path will have the recorded scores cleared. This in no way affects your event status or rank\, as the leaderboard sheet governs that. Likewise\, any duplicate charts within ECFA 2021 folders will not have their scores consolidated into one; if you play a chart from multiple places\, it will record them separately. To view your overall ECFA 2021 summary in the theme\, press MenuLeft + MenuRight on song select to open the sort menu\, and find “View ECFA Scores”. This option will only appear if one of the active players has at least one score recorded for the event. At the summary screen\, you can scroll through your scores with MenuLeft and MenuRight\, as well as take a screenshot with the Select button. Note that the event does not rely on the theme side score tracking. It’s there for your own convenience\, and likewise\, exploiting any of this stuff locally won’t do anything for you in the actual event. If you’d like to volunteer to be a score tracker – let us know! We could use the help. There have been a large number of sign-ups in the last 24 hours! If your name or alias isn’t on the sheet\, don’t panic – everything should get updated over the next several days. You’ll be able to play and submit scores\, they just won’t be on the sheet right away. Apologies! DESCRIPTION:If you thought a pandemic closing down clubs across the United States was going to stop us from running a show this year\, you are all sorely mistaken. For the first time ever\, System Arcadia will be running a web-show to entertain you online instead of the club during these uncertain times.System Arcadia presents Shakunetsu Append\, our company’s first web-show live exclusively on Twitch via twitch.tv/systemarcadia. This is going to be a two-night event featuring a whopping 16 acts total from 3 different countries: United States\, United Kingdom\, and Japan. Each night will begin at 7:30 P.M. EST (8:30 A.M. JST) and run roughly until 2 A.M. EST (15:00 P.M. JST). If you’re an avid beatmania fan\, you might have noticed we went with a heavy reference to the PlayStation games GottaMix 1 and 2. We decided that since our webshow is featuring broadcasts from multiple countries that the punchline of GottaMix 2 “Going Global” made a lot of sense. The design work was all done by our long-time friend Mike DeBisco\, who has been doing design work for System Arcadia since Shakunetsu 2 in 2016. SUMMARY:Rhythm Fest 2020
DESCRIPTION:What is Rhythm Fest?  Rhythm Fest is the 10th edition of the DDR-Exp events\, which have been going on since 2017. This event will have all rhythm games that we can get our hands on to give visitors the best possible rhythm/music game experience. A lot of games will also have their own competition for players to show their skills. It will be held from Friday February 21st to Sunday February 23rd.   We want to give everyone the chance to play their favourite games as much as they want\, or give the opportunity to try out the newest games which they maybe haven’t had access to yet.   The event will be held at the National Videogame Museum in Zoetermeer (more info https://www.facebook.com/NationaalGameMuseum/) which has more than enough room for all our shenanigans. So if you have ever played games like Guitar Hero or more\, be sure to check this event out! DESCRIPTION:The 9th KAC qualifying round has concluded\, the rules have been announced\, and players from all around the globe are anticipating the big event at the JAEPO convention in Japan. Unfortunately\, this year\, KAZE.573 isn’t able to make the trip. But going to Japan…and not entering a “real” DDR tournament? Doesn’t feel right\, does it?ANNOUNCING\nSUPER EXTRA EXCLUSIVE 2\nVS\nEXTRA INCLUSIVE\nA tournament where some of the greatest DDR players of the world can duke it out in the heart of Japan!\nOn Sunday Feb 9th\, the day after KAC\, we will be holding 2 separate 16-player double elim tournaments at Eternal Amusement Tower in Akihabara.\n[Location]\nEternal Amusement Tower\, Akihabara\n[Time]\nSunday\, February 9th @ 11AM\n[Rules]\nEXCLUSIVE will be songs in the 15-19 range. INCLUSIVE will be 13-16.\nFor both EXCLUSIVE and INCLUSIVE divisions\, card draws will be 5 random songs in Winner’s Bracket and 3 random songs in Loser’s Bracket (7 for Winners/Losers/Grand Finals). All difficulties (Basic\, Difficult\, Expert\, Challenge) will be included. Each player will eliminate one (higher seed may choose veto order or pad choice prior to seeing the draw). The first player to win a majority of songs wins. In the event of ties\, a single random song will be drawn until a winner is determined.\nSeeding/Qualifiers:\nThe winner of DDR 9th KAC will automatically be seeded 1st in the EXCLUSIVE division. All other seeds will be determined by remote qualifier. The cutoff for submitting scores will be 03:00 JST\, February 3rd. All players are encouraged to submit qualifying scores!\nPlay a set that includes these 3 songs. Your set may be played in any order\, and you can replay any song within that set. If you get Extra Stage\, you are welcome to replay any of the songs once more. The higher of each of the songs’ scores will be counted. It will happen on February 8-9th weekend.\nAs usual\, the tournament will take place in Lille but this time we have a bigger space to host you all and more cabs to backup the enormous hype that this tournament has generated.\nAnd this year will be even more hype as\, for the first time ever\, we will accept WORLDWIDE competition. If you are a resident of the USA or Canada or Australia or South America\, you will be able to compete in the live tournament if you make it to France!\nFTFA #3 will a technical tournament with two phases : Marathon seedings and “Bracket” without any elimination. Schedule will be subject to change\, but we’ll try to begin the tournament Saturday around 12PM\, and end it Sunday around 5PM (so you can travel back just after if you need to\, or go to the spaaaaaaa with us).\nRules & Updates will come (very) soon.
