SUMMARY:Freestyle Takeover: Cyber Cypher #1
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to announce Cyber Cypher #1\, an online #DDR freestyle tournament! pic.twitter.com/rTYgW1kQ39\n— Freestyle Takeover (@FSTakeover) April 10\, 2018 \nWe’re excited to announce Cyber Cypher #1\, an online DDR freestyle tournament! We wanted to reach out to freestylers outside of California and a remote event sounded like the perfect way to showcase talent from all across the world.\nTo enter\, choose from one of the following three songs and record a performance to it between now and May 5th:\n• Dance Celebration (DDR X)\n• Hands Up In The Air (DDR A)\n• Try 2 Luv U (SuperNOVA)\nFull rules are as follows: \nCyber Cypher is open to everyone on Earth\, regardless of region.\nTo enter\, record yourself performing a routine to one of the three Cyber Cypher eligible songs. Performances may be done on a Dance Dance Revolution arcade machine or on a home version pad using either a console version of the game or a DDR simulator/emulator.\nAll performance videos may be e-mailed directly to FreestyleTakeover@gmail.comor uploaded online. A link to the upload must be provided to any of Freestyle Takeover’s social media channels using the hashtag #DDRFreestyle.\nAll performances must have been recorded between 4/9/18 and 5/5/18. (No\, we’re not accepting a video of a routine you did back in 2014. Re-perform that bad boy for the spirit of competition.)\nPerformer must complete their performance with a passing grade per the game’s scoring system. A failed grade performance is not eligible for submission.\nAll performances must adhere to general guidelines of decency. Keep it PG\, maybe PG-13. (If the material/tone of the performance wouldn’t be allowed on an episode of The Simpsons\, you might want to rethink your idea.)\nAll performances will be judged by Freestyle Takeover staff. Each judge will grade the performances based on (but not limited to) showmanship\, creativity\, musicality\, and presentation. The competitor’s game score will not be factored into judgment.\nAfter the final performance of the competition\, each judge will submit their top 10 candidates using the following voting vector (14\, 9\, 8\, 7\, 6\, 5\, 4\, 3\, 2\, 1)\, where 1st place receives 14 points\, 2nd place receives 9 points and so on.\nAll judges’ decisions are final and are not subject to protest. Final tallies will be available per request after the competition is over.\nEntrants who submit a video to the Cyber Cypher are agreeing to allow Freestyle Takeover to potentially use their footage and/or likeness in future promotional and marketing material.\nRules are subject to change at the discretion of Freestyle Takeover. \nPrizes for this are forthcoming but we guarantee they will be worth your while. Start brainstorming your routines and stay tuned for more!

SUMMARY:Valkyrie Dimension - Girls' DDR A Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Facebook Event Page \nMain Website \nVALKYRIE DIMENSION IS A GIRLS-ONLY DDR A REMOTE TOURNAMENT.\nヴァルキリー・ディメンションは女性の為のDDR Aのリモート参加型大会。\nParticipants will do their best on a selection of songs between April 6th and May 14th. You will play as much as you want\, at any time\, on your local DDR A. Scores will be submitted as a photos of the results screen. This is a DDR A tournament\, you must play on a DDR A machine only. If you are a girl who has access to DDR A\, consider entering\, regardless of your skill level. This is a friendly tournament meant to foster the girls’ community in DDR\, and push you to play your best.\n２０１８年４月６日〜５月１４日までこの大会が行われます。 \n  \nSKILL DIVISIONS\n各級について\nThere will be 3 skill divisions – Low\, Mid\, and High.\nLow will be difficulties 8-12\, Mid will be 12-15 and high will be 15+.\nYou must play within your appropriate tier. For example\, if you are capable of 17’s\, you should not be in low tier. The tiers are there so that girls of all skill levels can compete with other girls on their level. Please enter the appropriate tier so competition is fair. If you think you aren’t good enough – enter anyway. This is a friendly competition!\nこの大会には「初級、中級、上級」の３つのレベルがあります。 \n  \nSONGS 曲\nFor each division\, there will be 6 different charts.\nそれぞれの級に、６曲あります。 \nSTAMINA SET\nスタミナセット\n3 designated charts MUST be played in a single game set\, similar to how KAC qualifiers were. These songs played in a single set are there to test your endurance. You must submit photos of each score\, as well as the summary screen that proves that you played them in the same set.\nKAC(Konami Arcade Championship、)と同様に、一つのゲームセットで３曲の指名されたものをしなければなりません。 \nSINGLE SONGS 個別の曲\nThe other 3 songs do not have to be played in a single set. You only need to submit a photo of the score. These songs might have some trickier things to time\, and will test your MA skills!\n残りの３曲 は、同じゲームセット内でプレイする必要はありません。 \n  \nSCORING 採点方法\nYour EX SCORE is what matters here – it’s at the bottom on the results screen. The total of your 6 EX scores will be your grand total. EX Scoring works as follows – 3 points for a Marvelous\, 2 points for Perfect\, 1 point for Great. Please make sure the EX score is visible in your photo.\n今回EX スコア（スコア結果の下にあるもの）を評価することになりました。 \n  \nTOURNAMENT MANTRA 大会の目的\nValkyrie Dimension’s purpose is to encourage women and girls to enter a competitive scene in order to encourage their personal growth in the game. Competition brings out the best in people\, and it should be experienced at every level of skill. Dance Dance Revolution has always had it’s share of devoted women players\, but it is largely a male-dominated game. This is a chance for girls around the world to put their skills to the test and enjoy the thrill of tournament play.\nヴァルキリー・ディメンションの目的は、女性DDRプレイヤーのゲームの上達を支援することです。 \n  \nOFFICIAL RULES\n1. You must play on an official DDR A machine. No Stepmania.\n2. Scores must be submitted between April 6th and May 14th to be valid.\n3. Photos must be clear\, and show your DDR handle and your EX score.\n4. Stamina sets must be played as a single set of 3 songs. You must also include a photo of the game summary screen that shows that you did indeed play those 3 songs in a single set.\n5. SUMMARY:East Coast Stamina 6.5
DESCRIPTION:Visit Groovestats for full info on East Coast Stamina 6.5.What is ECS6.5?:\nECS6.5 is the eleventh (after ECS1\, 2\, 2.5\, 3\, 3.5\, 4\, 4.5\, 5\, 5.5\, and 6) tournament in the East Coast Stamina series. The objective is to try to clear as many of the hardest stamina charts as you can within the format of the tournament. It is a team tournament\, and you may enter it on a team of up to three individuals. \nOnce again\, since this isn’t a “main” ECS (like\, one of the whole number ones)\, it’s going to be split into an upper and lower division to make it more accessible to a wider range of participants. \nWhen:\nEntrants can submit their sets at any time BEFORE May 14th\, 2018 to count towards the ranking. Within that timeframe\, when and where they do this is at their discretion\, so long as they adhere to the rules detailed further on. \nWhere:\nWherever. Any ITG machine that’s running an ITG theme and not the StomperZ one Stepmania 5 is acceptable as long as you’re using ITG’s life/scoring mechanics (using the Simply Love theme on Competitive mode is the easiest way to accomplish that). \nWhat are the prizes?: \nEach player that competes gets a special ECS6.5 poster.\nThe members of each team in the lower division that breaks 1100 total points between their marathons and their Raw Output set (after scaling) get a special ECS6.5 shirt.\nThe members of each team in the upper division that breaks 700 total points between their marathons and their Raw Output set (after scaling) get a more special ECS6.5 shirt.\nEach member of a team of my choosing from each division that I note as having performed especially well relative to their skill level gets a special\, three of a kind poster.\nEach member of the winning team of each division gets a special\, three of a kind poster and a trophy. \nKeep in mind it’ll probably take me a while to mail everything once the tournament is over. \nFormat:\nECS6.5 is a team tournament split into an Upper Division and a Lower Division\, with two portions to the tournament for each division.  \nTeams are comprised of up to three individuals total; deciding who to team up with is up to you.\nIt is strongly preferred that you enter with people you are able to play on the same machine with\, but in special cases\, if you advise me in advance\, I will permit you to play on separate machines. This is really only an issue for the Raw Output set; you must coordinate between your other team members if they’re not playing at the same place as you to ensure that you are not playing songs at the same time on different machines\, or else you’re giving yourself an unfair advantage over other competitors. I would recommend streaming to each other if possible or at least using messaging to make sure you know when you can start your next song. Again\, it is strictly against the rules for two different people on a team to be playing songs at the same time during Raw Output. You may also take the approach of just dividing your four hour block up amongst your team\, but it goes without saying this puts you at a disadvantage in terms of efficiency.\nEach entrant can enter on up to two teams for EACH of the Upper and Lower divisions\, but they are not eligible for duplicate prizes (meaning if I were to enter on the maximum of four teams\, and all of the teams happen to win the same prize\, I only get that prize one time rather than four times)\nThere is no concept of ‘local ranking’ versus ‘remote ranking’ in this tournament– each division has its own ranking\, period\, and all teams entering are eligible for winnings regardless of where they play.\nThe lower division has songs in it from 12s-17s and marathons made up of 13s. It is recommended that you at least be comfortable with 13s if you’re going to enter. If you/your team fails the marathon(s)\, it will still count towards your team’s marathon total\, however.\nThe upper division has songs from 16s-24s and a marathon with charts ranging from 16s to 21s. It’s recommended that you be able to pass at least a few lower 18s on command if you’re going to enter the upper division.\nC-mods are legal. Mirror/other turn mods are legal. No Mines is legal. Any mods that add or subtract arrows\, holds\, or rolls– those are not.\nYou may rate mod songs\, but only at rates that are at or above 1.0x\, and you will not receive any point bonus for doing so.\nBracketing/mashing is not permitted in any portion of the tournament.\nYou must compete on ITG. The StomperZ theme is not allowed due to different life and scoring metrics.\nYou may turn off way-offs and decents (it will only really help you in the marathon portion\, though).

SUMMARY:EXTRA EXCLUSIVE ~WORLD DDR TOURNAMENT~
DESCRIPTION:[UPDATE: 1/26] Due to an unfortunate scheduling conflict with the building’s owner\, we will be unable to utilize the 8th floor of Eternal Amusement Tower. As such\, we have received permission to run the event on the 4th floor\, in the general arcade. The manager of the arcade is working hard with us to rearrange the games to make the floor as spacious as possible. However\, the maximum capacity we will be able to hold on this floor will be 60 people\, meaning 32 competitors and 28 spectators/tournament organizers. As such\, if you haven’t already\, I highly recommend you RSVP as soon as possible! There is still time to qualify\, so if you want to guarantee yourself a spot in the venue\, please submit your score by February 5th! \nTo all DDR players\, \nThe 7th KAC finalists have been determined\, and players from all around the globe have already secured travel to plans to visit Japan to cheer on their friends. It’s unfortunate that KAC this year invites less players from abroad to compete than before\, but more players than ever are visiting regardless to show their support. With an unprecedented number of players from around the world visiting Japan this year\, I thought it would be an incredible chance to hold a REAL tournament where the greatest DDR players of the world can duke it out in the heart of Japan! \nWith that\, I present to you EXTRA EXCLUSIVE. On Sunday\, the day after KAC\, we will be holding a 32-man double elimination tournament at Eternal Tower in Akihabara (formerly known as Tri-Tower). We will be renting the 8th floor of the building where we will have an entire floor dedicated to a DDR A white cabinet to run and stream the event! \nRules: \n32-man double elimination \nTop 16 qualifiers for KAC already get a free bye into the tournament for their respective slots. If someone in Top 16 can’t make it or isn’t interested\, we’d take the next person in line (#17\, #18\, etc.) until all 16 slots are filled. \nQualifiers: \nSeeds 17-32 will be decided by a qualifier set prior to the tournament. The cutoff will be February 5th. Just take a photo of your set and post here or Tweet your photo with the hashtag #extraexclusive2018 by the cutoff date. Top 16 sets will be seeded in seeds 17-32.\nEligible participants: Any player visiting from abroad\, or any player in the Top 100 for KAC ranking. Triple Counter ESP Lv17 \nIf you are eligible to qualify\, you must play a set of the following songs in any order. If you get Extra Stage\, you are welcome to replay any of the songs once more. The higher of the 2 scores will be counted. Take a photo of the grand results screen for your set. As such\, machine score will be used. \nYour songs scores will be ranked individually\, rather than as a total set. The highest score for a song will receive 16 points\, 2nd highest score will receive 15 points\, etc.\, until the 16th highest score\, who will receive 1 point for that song. Any score lower will receive 0 points for that score. \nExample: \nPlayer A: \n★990\,000 エンドルフィン\n★999\,600 Monkey Business\n★985\,000 Triple Counter\n925\,000 Monkey Business \nPlayer B: \n★980\,000 Triple Counter\n★999\,000 エンドルフィン\n★999\,500 Monkey Business\n998\,000 エンドルフィン \nPlayer C: \n★999\,920 エンドルフィン\n999\,820 Triple Counter\n★999\,950 Monkey Business\n★999\,850 Triple Counter \nPlayer C’s scores are all the highest of the 3 players\, so he receives 16 points per song. That’s 48 points total (a perfect score). \nPlayer B’s Endorphin score was the 2nd highest\, but his other 2 scores were the lowest (of the 3 players)\, so he receives 15 points for Endorphin and 14 points for the other 2 songs for a total of 43 points. \nPlayer A likewise gets 15\, 15\, and 14 points for a total of 44 points. \nThe players would qualify and be seeded as such (as this is to decide seeds 17-32): \n17th seed is Player C\n18th seed is Player A\n19th seed is player B \nThis will continue up until the 32nd seed has been determined. \nPlease take a photo of your grand results screen\, and post here or tweet the photo with the hashtag #extraexclusive2018. The qualifying period is 1/22/18 – 2/5/18. \nTournament: \nRounds will be 5 song card draw\, each player vetoes 1 song. Songs will be played in order drawn unless BOTH players agree to play in order of ascending difficulty. If the same song is drawn twice with different difficulties\, the 2nd draw of the song will be redrawn to prevent a single song weighing heavier on a single match than another. \nAll rounds will be ESP/CSP only. \nRound 1: 14-17 (weighted 15%\, 25%\, 40%\, 20%)\nRound 2: 15-18 (weighted 15%\, 25%\, 40%\, 20%)\nRound 3: 16-19 (weighted 15%\, 25%\, 40%\, 20%)\nSemi-finals: 17-19 (no weights)\nFinals: 18-19 (no weights) \nPad side will be chosen by higher seed. As of this time\, there will be no arbitration. Scoring will be strictly EX score based\, best 2 out of 3 (not cumulative). \nGrand finals will be top 2 of winners bracket and top 2 of losers bracket. It will move onto Round Robin match rules. The same song cannot be played twice in a single match. \nDuring the Top 8\, competitors will be given 1 warm-up song before their set begins. During grand finals\, competitors will be given 2 warm-up songs before their set begins. \nThe venue has a maximum capacity of 100 people. After competitors and tournament organizers\, priority will be given to spectators visiting from abroad followed by attendants in a first come\, first serve basis. For those that cannot attend\, there will be a live stream setup. The link will be posted once details are confirmed. \nThere will be a door fee of ¥3\,000 for all spectators and competitors\, and will include an EXTRA EXCLUSIVE T-shirt. Top 8 will all get an exclusive finalist hoodie. There will be no cash prizes. \nAll prices are subject to change\, as well as start/finish times. Rules\, event location\, and other details may need to modified if necessary. In the event that any details change\, it will be publicly announced and updated here prior to the event. \nFor a visual of the tournament bracket format\, please see below:\nhttp://challonge.com/extraexclusive2018 \nIf you are participating\, we would appreciate anyone who can stay afterwards and help clean up. The players in Japan are helping as much as they can to get this set up and their kindness should be repaid! \nIf anyone else has anything they’d like to add or that I’ve missed\, please comment! We look forward to seeing you all there and on the stream!

SUMMARY:DDR Freestyle Takeover
DESCRIPTION:In 1998\, Konami released Dance Dance Revolution into arcades. Its immersive and interactive gameplay sparked a phenomenon that was unlike any that had come before it. Players were not merely pushing buttons; they were moving\, grooving\, and giving people something to get excited about. The magnetic nature of DDR pulled together a wide range of dedicated players and communities formed in arcades all across the world.DDR Freestyle puts the “Dance” in Dance Dance Revolution with competitors performing choreographed dance routines to in-game music. These performances have captivated many a spectator and created cult followings amongst its top stars. Freestyle allowed the unique opportunity for players to inject their own creativity and showmanship\, thus making it visual performance art.\nThough a devoted community has kept the game alive through technical (score-based) feats\, Freestyle has laid dormant for years.\n2018 marks the 20th anniversary of Dance Dance Revolution. On January 27th\, 2018\, we celebrate its roots with a Freestyle revival that will take over center stage at Round1 Arcade in San Jose\, California — the Bay Area’s hotbed for Dance Dance Revolution competition. Relive the creativity and showmanship\, and watch as new memories are made on the dance pad.\nPrizes and prestige are on the line for the day’s top DDR freestylers\, and an exhibition featuring the Bay Area’s all-star DDR freestylers.\nVIsit our Eventbrite page (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dance-dance-revolution-freestyle-takeover-tickets-40090806682) for more details and for tournament sign-ups.\nFor sponsorship opportunities\, contact FreestyleTakeover@gmail.com\n$15 to compete\, free to spectate\nPRIZES:\n1st place: 60% of pot\n2nd place: 30% of pot\n3rd place: 10% of pot\n(subject to change)\nWHAT: Dance Dance Revolution A Freestyle Tournament\nWHERE: Round1 Eastridge\, 2200 Eastridge Loop #2094\, San Jose\, CA 95122\nWHEN: Saturday\, January 27\, 2018 3pm

SUMMARY:East Coast Stamina 6
DESCRIPTION:Facebook EventMAIN SITE: http://groovestats.com/ECS6/\nWhat is East Coast Stamina?\nEast Coast Stamina (ECS) is a high level competition centered around a selection of the most difficult custom content available for In The Groove\, a four-panel dance simulation game along the lines of Dance Dance Revolution. It has been an annual tournament since September 2011\, eventually becoming a biannual event starting with ECS2.5.\nWhen/where is it happening?\nEast Coast Stamina 6 will be held November 17th-19th at the Harrisburg East Mall.\nWhat is the format?\nHistorically\, the tournament has generally consisted of a “marathon” (a mix of songs usually roughly an hour in length)\, and then a timed set where players could choose songs from a preselected list\, where the songs are assigned point values based on their difficulty in addition to the scores the players obtain on them. ECS4.5 and ECS5.5 have added team play as an aspect of the format\, but the mainline ECS tournaments– 1\, 2\, 3\, 4\, 5 and the upcoming ECS6– have all focused on one individual competing against the other entrants to achieve the highest score possible on the marathon\, and also to gain as many points as possible in the timed set.\nWho are the competitors this year?\nThe competitors for East Coast Stamina 6 will be the top 16 ranked players able to attend from the Stamina RPG qualifiersthat took place from July 22nd to October 1st of 2017. The list is not fully confirmed yet\, but here is the tentative list\, in order of qualifying rank: \ntrev0115 / Trevor (United States)\nJDongs / Jared (United States)\nCardboardBox / Anthony (Canada)\nAoreo / Jim (United States)\nHonk / Anthony (Canada)\nArchi / Ian (United States)\n2PercentMilk / Amy (United States)\nlil_beastling / Kevin (Australia)\nrawinput / Mike (United States)\nRynker / Ryan (United States)\nDingoshi / Adiono (Australia)\nhippaheikki / Markus (Finland)\nSteveReen / Steve (United States)\nNico / Ian (United States)\nkrushrpants / Bryan (United States)\nSilentJoel / Joel (United States)

At that time players will not have free access to the machine and may only be at used Tournament Organizer’s discretion (example no one is qualifying) \n-SEEDING – \nQualifiers will take place during the registration period. If you are unable to seed within the alloted time frame\, please let us know in advanced and we’ll try to make arrangements for you. \nThe qualifier will be One randomly selected songs from this following list: \n-Far East Nightbird (Kors K Remix) \n-Tribe\n-Wicked Plastik\n-Amalgamation\n-CaptivAte ~Chikai~ \nPlayers will be allowed one warmup song prior to playing the qualifier\, but they are not allowed to play the qualifier prior to qualifying. Players will be seeded by total EX score on the qualifiers. In the event of a tie on EX score\, a random tiebreaker will be selected from the remaining list of qualifying songs.  \nGENERAL RULES –  \nTournament will follow a standard best 2/3 double elimination bracket.  \nIn the event more than 16 people enter\, a single elimination bracket will be run. Players in the single elimination bracket will play one random song from the qualifier list to qualify into the double elimination bracket.  \n**There will be a cap of 24 players**.  \nIf more than 24 players enter and you don’t make top 24 in the qualifier\, you’ll be out completely  \nWinner’s\, Loser’s and Grand Finals will be 3/5 (If time becomes an issue then only Grand Finals will be 3/5) \nAt the start of each match\, the two players competing will decide on the following 3 items –  \n– Choice of left or right pad\n– Choice of first or second song selection\n– Choice of first or second veto on random song \nThe higher seed will have first selection of these 3 options\, the lower seed will get their choice of the two remaining options\, and the higher seed will select from the remaining option.  \nSong selection will follow the pick/pick/random format\, where each player is allowed a song pick. You are only allowed to choose a specific song chart once throughout the tournament. You may choose a song multiple times if it has an expert and challenge chart\, and you have not previously picked both of the charts. The winner of each song will be determined by the person with the highest EX score on each song. If a person wins the first two song picks\, then that person advances on to the next round. If the score is tied 1-1 after two song picks\, then the final song will be selected randomly (see the section on random songs). \nIn the event both players tie on one of the players’ song picks\, then that person is not awarded an additional song pick\, and neither player is awarded a win on that song. Any subsequent songs will be chosen by random. If both players tie on the random song\, then another random song will be chosen (see the section on random songs). \nFor 3/5 matches\, format will be pick/pick/pick/pick/random \nIf a player fails a song or chooses to forfeit their song\, the other player is granted a point and is not required to finish the song. \nRANDOM/TIE BREAKING SONGS –  \nIf no one has won 2 songs after both players have picked their songs\, a tie breaking song will be chosen via card draw program (http://shelfspacelabel.com/jefflloydthediddlerman/). 3 songs will be randomly selected by the program. The person who was previously chosen to have the first veto will choose a song they do not wish to play\, and the person with the second veto will choose from the remaining songs the song they do not wish to play. The players will play on the remaining song. \nThe song difficulty range for the random songs will vary by each round. Due to song unlocks being tied to eamuse profiles\, no unlockable songs will be selectable for the random tiebreaker. \nAssuming a 16 man bracket\, the following is the range of difficulty options on Expert and Challenge charts that will be eligible for random songs for their respective rounds –  \nRound 1 of Winners & Losers Bracket – 11-14\nRound 2 of Winners & Losers Bracket – 12-15\nRound 3 of Winners & Losers Bracket – 13-16\nWinners Finals\, Losers Finals\, and Grand Finals – 14-18 \nSELECTABLE SONGS/CHARTS\, AND MODS –  \nExpert and Challenge charts rated 10 and up are selectable by the players depending what round you are in. Unlocks that are not restricted to extra stage will be allowed if it is unlocked. \nAssuming a 16 man bracket\, the following level caps will be in effect based on the round of the tournament \nRound 1 of Winners & Losers Bracket – 10-14\nRound 2 of Winners & Losers Bracket – 10-15\nRound 3 of Winners & Losers Bracket – 10-16\nWinners Finals\, Losers Finals\, and Grand Finals – Everything 10+ can be selected \nAll mods are allowed as long as they do not change the EX total of the song (cut\, freezes off\, etc). All speed mods (2x\, 2.5x\, etc) and appearance mods (sudden+\, hidden+\, etc) are allowed. TURN MODS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED \nPlayers are permitted to switch certain mods on or off mid song by double tapping the green selection button on the screen (sudden+). However\, they must do it on their own accord\, and cannot have another person do it for them during the song. \nEAMUSE –  \nMost of the song modifiers will not be selectable unless you are playing with an eamuse card\, and certain song unlocks are also tied to your account. Because of this\, players are encouraged to have their own eamuse card and account set up prior to the tournament. If you do not already have an eamuse card\, you may purchase one at the front desk of Dave and Buster’s for $5. You are allowed to borrow an eamuse card during the tournament if someone is willing to lend you theirs. \nPlease note that certain options are only selectable through the online eamuse portal (darker BG\, noteskin\, and arrow guidelines)\, and two options are locked behind having a paid Basic Eamuse subscription at some point (Fast/Slow\, and combo behind the arrows). If you want access to these options and do not have an existing eamuse account\, you may want to consider borrowing a card from someone. \nPAD ARBITRATION –  \nWe do not anticipate there to be major issues with the pads misfiring. However\, in the event that a pad error happens and would make a difference on the outcome of the match\, the tournament organizer will handle this on a case by case basis. \nMISC –  \nShoes are required at all times.  \nIf at any point you do something deemed unsportsmanlike\, such as interfering with someone while playing a match\, damage Dave and Buster’s property\, become visibly intoxicated\, assault another person\, or any other similar malicious behavior\, you will be immediately disqualified from the tournament\, kicked out of the venue\, and will not receive a refund.

DESCRIPTION:UK Sightreading Tournament 9; 𝚡:𝚋𝚘𝚘𝚝_𝚜𝚎𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎The UK’s 9th main-series sight reading tournament takes place on August the 12th\, 2017! It’s going to be the biggest and most ridiculous UKSRT to date!\nUKSRT9 Sign-ups & T-Shirt pre-order form\n————————–——————-\nFor those not in the know\, sight read in DDR is essentially playing a song that you’ve never seen before.\nIn the context of our tournaments however\, this means that each round (and all associated gimmicks!) are created specifically for the purposes of the tournament.\nIt’s an interesting even playing field\, as none of the competitors will have seen any of the content.\nSo what we have is a fun dance game tournament that runs on an upgraded DDR machine\, in which probably literally anything can happen. (I mean literally anything\, we had a round arbitrarily turn into Tetris once!)\nThere’s only one rule really (ontop of the venue rules which are mostly common sense!)\, and that’s to enjoy yourself~\nIf you’re good\, or just fancy trying something really off the wall and different as far as dance game tournaments go\, you should definitely give this a shot.\nAs usual there will be a cash prize (and some other stuff) for the winner! :3\nI should also mention\, that somewhere in the tournament\, as per usual\, there’s a ~mystery event~\, and player who does best on the mystery event will receive an additional prize!\nEveryone invite your friends etc\, let’s aim for the highest attendance ever!\nMore information will become available as the event draws closer!

SUMMARY:Girlpocalypse 2017
DESCRIPTION:Structure\n12 girls will be competing in this event. Each player will have two 60 minute sessions play whatever she wants and accumulate points towards specific targets. There are 24 slots throughout the weekend.\nThere are three targets that a player can accumulate points towards – SPEED\, STAMINA\, and TIMING. Each target has a songlist and a formula that takes data from the songs played and scores achieved and assigns points for each target. Scores for SPEED and TIMING can carry between sets\, while STAMINA cannot.\nSetup\nThe tournament will be played on Rhythm Horizon\, a new game from Lama\, LLC. The main characteristics to note are: \nMore lenient lifebar. The lifebar is about two and a half times the size of the lifebar in ITG\, and it behaves differently in response to life-depleting judgments. \nJudgment differences. The top judgment is divided in half (basically a Fantastic and flashing Fantastic) though both are worth the same in terms of score. Additionally\, no judgments subtract score. “Too Early” penalties subtract from life to discourage mashing. \n“Too Early” penalty. The current form of “mash prevention” works by adding an extra 50ms window on the early side of the worst regular judgment (which is currently called “good”). Any arrow hit during that window provides a life penalty equal to that of missing an arrow\, but it can still be triggered for a normal judgment as well. “Too Early” is displayed above the judgment when the penalty is applied. The game allows you to get up to 1 “Too Early” per second without any penalty. That low of a rate is assumed to be misfires\, but higher rates of “Too Earlys” mean likely mashing. \nDifficulty rating calculator. The numerical difficulty rating is calculated within the game\, so all charts will be rated with the same algorithm. The game analyzes patterns and other chart aspects like speed\, note density\, etc to calculate the ratings. \nRules\nPlayers can use whatever mods they like including Cmods\, and No Mines as long as they do not alter the step patterns. For example\, turn mods or no holds are not allowed.\nFailed scores are allowed! Get hauling!\nFacebook Event
