ITG Invitational Season 1 In Production by Oryan of DangerShark

Ryan “Oryan” Perera, the creator of DangerShark, has launched a Patreon to help fund a broadcast-quality show of a remote ITG (In The Groove) tournament. Eight competitors, eight 30-minute episodes, one series champion. The Patreon has three available subscriptions: two are $5/month for behind-the-scenes access and a non-spoiler supporter, and one $9/month with more special bonuses.

Check out the ITG Invitational Season 1 Patreon here.

My name is Ryan. I’m a motion designer and, more importantly, a dance game addict. Most people in the dance game community know me for starting DangerShark, an organization that uses 100% of its profits to sponsor rhythm game players and give back to the community in various ways.

I’m a firm believer that our realm of gaming could be the next biggest Esport and I strive to keep pushing that dance game envelope forward.

For the last few months, I’ve been workshopping a competitive rhythm-game show. Think NBC’s “Titan Games” meets “In The Groove” tech (done remotely; thanks COVID).

8 competitors, 8 weeks, and a LOT of amazing matches along the way.

The pilot season will air online either weekly or bi-weekly depending how smooth production goes.

The goal is to create something that is not only for our personal entertainment but to catch the eye of bigger organizations, bigger sponsors, and the general gaming public.

Speaking of bigger, this is easily my biggest project yet. Thousands of hours will be poured into this show’s creation-hence why I started this Patreon. If you’d like to support me, this project, or just want to see the crazy process from behind-the-scenes: please take a look at our subscription tiers. If you can’t contribute monetarily but have some time in the day to send me some motivational words-that works too 🙂

If you’ve made it this far, then I just want to so thank you for taking the time to read about my next adventure.

Let’s continue to grow this awesome sport of ours.

With Love,
Ryan
