This is one DIY dance pad project that is unlike anything else. Other than buying an actual arcade DDR or ITG2 cabinet with the full metal stage, this is as arcade-accurate as any DIY home dance pad can get. Alex Diener documented his entire process from start to finish in a 16-episode video series on his YouTube channel, building a replica of an In The Groove 2 dedicated cabinet’s dance stage with real arcade sensors, poly-carbonate panels, and even the genuine Andamiro metal bars. Building something that’s close to the real deal totaled up to a hefty $3355.72! Check out the video and view the description in the video for more info.
