Otaku Arcade Extravaganza is one of South Africa’s hugest dance gaming tournament ever to be created throughout South African Dance Gaming history. It will be held on 27 April – 1 May 2024 at KidsCon venue @ Comic Con Cape Town – Cape Town International Convention Centre. We look forward on seeing a diversity of players coming from all different places across South Africa and the world coming to compete in Cape Town. Participation in this tournament requires no entry fee. However, to secure a spot, participants must already possess a valid Comic Con ticket, as access to the tournament is contingent upon attending the Comic Con event.
(Appendix – for more tournament specification for experienced dance gamers): This is an only-accuracy based “DDR fanbase” tournament that will apply ITG principles (as requested from our sponsors). So, in short terms, you are being assessed only on ITG technical. DDR is used as a fanbase name since that is how the game is well known for non-players in a mainstream perspective.
