ABOUT

Project IDOLA is an organized online DDR A tournament welcoming players from all over the world to compete. Qualified participants will take part in 3 unique divisions over the course of various Rounds competing to get the highest scores in order to reach the final. This is your chance. Will you be crowned the champion?

• Any player with access to the latest version of DDR, DDR A, are eligible to participate in this event. (Currently South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Thailand, and USA.)

• Choose one of the following divisions to take part in: Upper Expert, Lower Expert, Doubles.

ADMISSION AND PRIZES

• Any player is allowed qualify during the first round for free.
• Players who qualify for Round 2 (Top 16) in their division will be sent an e-mail asking for a participation fee and shipping address with a variety of payment methods. We hope you can pay immediately, though we will allow extra time if need. Please pay before the end of the 3rd round at the latest. The participation fee costs the following for each region: $15 USD, 17000 KRW, 1,600 JPY, 500 TWD, 120 MOP, 120 HKD.
• The fee is required if you would like to receive a physical prize. Yes, it is true that you will not receive a physical prize if you have not paid a participation fee. Simply put, we need it to process the prizes. To make things clear, the Indiegogo donations are going towards the cash prize, and the entrance fee is what helps make and ship the posters, t-shirts, etc., to the top players in each division, so we hope you understand the significance of the fee.
• You have the option to not pay the fee if you do not wish to receive any physical rewards.
• The cash prize pool raised through the Indiegogo site will be divided among the divisions as follows.
  • Single Upper Expert~40%
  • Single Lower Expert~30%
  • Doubles~30%

RULES

• Eligible players must play the 3 selected songs in their division during the period time.

• Each player must verify their top score by submitting photo and or video evidence of their scores by posting the results screen.

• You may use either Standard or Premium credits to enter your scores. Players using Premium credits have the opportunity to play one song twice allowing the higher score to take priority.

• Scoring during the first 3 rounds will use be calculated using machine score.

• Any scores submitted before or after a periods deadline will not be counted.

• In the case where two players achieve the same score, the player who uploaded data first will take priority.
• Players may choose as many divisions to enter as they would like.
• The following prizes will be given to the Top 16 in the division who also paid the participation fee.

ROUND 1 PERIOD (QUALIFIER)
SEPTEMBER 6 AT 6:00PM (PDT) – SEPTEMBER 18 AT 5:59PM (PDT)

LOWER EXPERT

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs; 10, 11, 12, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.

UPPER EXPERT

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs; 14, 15, 16, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.

DOUBLES

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs; 12, 13, 14, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.

ROUND 2 PERIOD (TOP 16)
SEPTEMBER 20 AT 6:00PM (PDT) – OCTOBER 2 AT 5:59PM (PDT)

For players who have made it into Round 2, you may pay the admission fee for the tournament. Please contact Dr.D about payment.

LOWER EXPERT

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs between 10-13, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.
• Players who qualify top 16 may select 3 songs between those levels that they would like to be present in this round. With all of the submitted songs from the top 16, we will randomly draw three of them to be played this round.

UPPER EXPERT

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs between 14-17, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.
• Players who qualify top 16 may select 3 songs between those levels that they would like to be present in this round. With all of the submitted songs from the top 16, we will randomly draw three of them to be played this round.

DOUBLES

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs between 12-15, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.
• Players who qualify top 16 may select 3 songs between those levels that they would like to be present in this round. With all of the submitted songs from the top 16, we will randomly draw three of them to be played this round.

ROUND 3 PERIOD (TOP 8)
OCTOBER 4 AT 6:00PM (PDT) – OCTOBER 16 AT 5:59PM (PDT)

LOWER EXPERT

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs between 12-13, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.
• Players who qualify top 8 may select 3 songs between those levels that they would like to be present in this round. With all of the submitted songs from the top 8, we will randomly draw three of them to be played this round.

UPPER EXPERT

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs between 15-18, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.
• Players who qualify top 8 may select 3 songs between those levels that they would like to be present in this round. With all of the submitted songs from the top 8, we will randomly draw three of them to be played this round.

• 3 Expert/Challenge songs between 13-17, will be randomly selected the day before the round begins.
